Grafting

I'm taking some horticulture classes at the local community college towards a nursery and landscape certificate. Last Saturday during lab we grafted Japanese maples. I learned very fast and was very good. I am just wondering if cannabis can be grafted in a similar manner.

I assume cut the scion at a 45 angle and secure with band/grafting tape into an inter nodal cut on the rootstock?? Then a humidity tent for the branch?? Am I correct?

The Rootstock will be a vigorous strain, maybe pup kush, and scion would be a high yield like grape ape.

haven't grafted myself, just watched a few threads/posts on it
MJ is supposed to be fairly difficult to graft, i think you have to graft 2 living plants
idea is you split them down the middle, then join the 2 halves, the root stocks stay for both plants
it's interesting in that you could get a plant that has 2 'strains' on it

it's not difficult at all....the only requirement is that you make damn sure you line up the root stock and scion cambial layers and keep it wrapped until healed.
some say it helps to bag the scion and treat it like a clone until then as well...but i don't think it's needed...i don't really need high percentages of success rates
plenty happy with what the plants do all on their own

the plant is quite hearty with a zeal for surviving....it'll do the rest
