Grand Daddy Purple

So i got a very and i mean very good friend sending me some GDP clones. I was just wondering if anyone has grown it. I wanna know the flowering time, how many of them had some color, how tall they got, were the main colas big, is it indica or hybrid? trying to see if i wanna use it as my mothers which i probably will. i have heard so many things about this legendary strain and im so happy to get it in my garden.

Some guy named Wilson530 has a couple posts about that strain from 2007. I did a google search, I saw your thread in the search results. check it out. I'm not sure how to put a link on the post, sorry. I was born in the 70's. That thread is in the hydro/aero section do a search there and you will find it.

gdp is a low yeilder. great lookin buds , but i think the purpling depends on the pheno you get. ive seen dark purple gdp and ive seen green gdp. the plant i just pulled down yesterday had some purpling but wasnt prolific. its really some great smoke but not good for cash crops. Querkle by tga subcool is a higher yeilding strain with great similarities.

I've grown her,,the real cut that goes purple towards the end..
yield is crap,,mediocre smoke at best..
She has a novel look about her,smells somewhat nice but the
fragrance doesn't come on strong.

She was hit with the ecsd fem pollen when I did my last run of
femmed seeds...

Let's just say I didn't keep the cut going past that breeding episode
nor have I germed 1 seed from that cross yet.

Very forgettable. Very, and I mean Very overrated!

mediocre smoke ? ? ? you must not have had a good cut. im from the BAY AREA where that strain originated and believe me its far from mediocre. the yeild is shit but it is fire. there is definantly other strains that produce so much more bud but if you have good genetics that havent been tampered along the way you should be able to get quality smoke but not a lot.

I can assure You I had the real cut friend..
My cuts don't come from outlets like dispensaries ..

rest assured I'm a stickler for accuracy and pedigree..

This whole thing is pointless however as this is entirely
subjective...

i can assure you im a part of the 10% whos bar is higher. i dont smoke bullshit and i know good smoke. everyone has their own opinions and thats all they are. i cant speak for what youve grown or smoked but the GDP i smoke is fire. will i grow it again? NO. simply for the fact its a shit yeilder. for now on im only doing strains that will produce 4 or more ounces per plant.

I thought the same thing about the GDP. There is nothing really special about it, I don't understand all the hype, is it really just because it's purple?
