SOOOOO... anyone know where this may have came from?

I bought a bag a while back, around fall 2011 in the St. Charles area. It was supposed to be from a medical patient source, dispensary or no i couldnt tell you.
It was dank, had some purple in it, nice stuff. All i knew was that it was supposed to be Grape Ape, and it seems to be accurate so far.

Found 4 seeds in it, and decided to keep them. Grew out 2, both females(which i expected anyways), one being a green budded indica pheno, the other being quite taller and more sativa with pure purple bud.
They were both valuable plants imo. The purple clones were considered the keepers, which i spread around afterwards.
The only green pheno plant that was finished out had about 30 nice seeds in it. The only male flowers i could find were on a blackberry plant flowering next to it. those seeds are being tested out right now... so far one in particular is a stand out, and has been cloned(thank gawd).

Im very curious if anyone has ran across Grape Ape any where around the Flint - Tri-city area, or anywhere else in MI. I wish i could trace back this strain farther... It is turning out to be a very good find! I still have the other 2 original seeds too :)

One of the few places we have found grape ape is at Michigan Organics on Dorty Hwy in Flint.
If the market TheMan13 mentioned above has it, they are damn near half the price of Mi. Organics.
 
yeah im quite dissapointed w/ pretty much everything ive ever had from almost ALL the local dispensaries. i mean i do have a hell of a tolerance to be fair, but still. 20-25 a gram... i better at least get what i NEED out of it.

but im just trying to get background info... not bud.

I ALREADY LOOKED THIS ALL UP like a year ago. but thanks anyways. good for anyone else who wants to know.

i just know its hard to get apothecary seeds typically. they have taken a ton of heat over the whole bubba/og/chem thing.
 
im wondering if anyone in the area recieved a clone from someone thats had a while....

or maybe if someone got a hold of the beans from apothecary.

i mean the pheno i have is a huge yielder too just like the apothecary website says. thats why they chose the name for one thing.

also im trying to breed with it, and it would be nice to be able to explain to people where the grape ape came from, if they get all snippity about the background.

my purple pheno looks alot like the pic too, especially the original mother plant that was from seed and had much closer internodes than the clones. except that my buds always turn out 100% purple on all of the calyxes. it would be nice to spread that ability to other strains.

either way im 100% sure its really Grape Ape. it even has a musky-sour grape flavor when done right.
 
ive also watched a u tube vid that had a chick from apothecary comparing buds with Arjan from GHS when they were in the Dam for the cup.

she called it Grand Daddy Grape Ape. i wonder why the "grand daddy" i have an old thread on that from like a year ago.

wow i just changed that to my wall paper!! nice! i wish i woulda known that existed when i order from the attitude TODAY. damn. ive been wanting to get something mixed with that RD. i hear its killer and easy to grow.

where the hell did u find those?? in person or something? i see that the tude doesnt have them. now im not as mad about my order. :) got dinachem and ET lemon diesel and all the nice freebies anyways. it was just hard choosing between boss hogg regs or the fem freebies.
 
I got that particular pack from Highlife. I have some of them going, I'll have cuts available before too long. The Boss Hogg too. Doing a journal of those on TSD.

hey glad did u get a grape ape dom pheno out of those raredarkness?? been really lookin for a dank grape flavor to add to the garden... would be much obliged if u kept me informed on if and when ull have those babies ready
 
I have several journals going right now. I start having trouble keeping them straight in cyber land. lol.
They are tiny small. Babies. 4 or 5 of them going.
 
I just ran downstairs for a clone pic so I grabbed one of these.
