Green Grow Room

I was thinking about doing a more energy efficient grow room. To cut back on power cost. I was thinking about using a bike generator to make some power for my lights. I would have 8 55 watt cfl that are equivalent to 240 watt. The bike generator isn't the hard part. I was wondering if there is a battery big enough to store enough power for 12 hours or more. And having to bike everyday to charge the battery back up isn't a problem. Do they make batteries big enough to store that much power? That is affordable

What you need is deep cycle batteries ($80-$180 each), im guessing to start with at least 3 but it will depend on the specific batteries used and total watts needed. I might also suggest a solar panel as well, I've seen them for RVs under $100 it wouldn't keep them charged by itself but would help keep them charged and you may be able to go without a battery if the panel is big enough.

Thanks Sparky. I'm just having trouble with the math. I don't know how much power I will be using and if the battery will be worth it. I need it to last 12 hours and easily charged back up
