Green Lights?

So I have been reading on green lights and there is some interesting info about them. So basically green lights for the most part are unneeded but they seem to have some reaction, not to just cannabis but, a lot of plants.

As far as ive read thus far the plant itself cannot for lack of a better word " see " the light but it can still perceive it which leads to a healthy growth.

So id like to ask if anyone with experience in the field has any knowledge on potential benefits to the lights. I realize this is still very subject to the individuals grow style and all but still sounds like useful data to have.

Different spectrum's have different effects on all plant growth.
Green is now being seen as having some potential effect in plant growth.
Thing is, there is no out standing research into just what this "green" nm banding is doing to the plant.

What we do know is that exposure to green light during the "lights out" or "dark period". Will not trigger a response in the plant that is blooming, to relase the hormones to set it back to veg.

This is the most useful information we have at this time.

There is, or has been work that shows that adding extra green spectral lighting. Does nothing during lights on times.

The research being done is to find just what the green spectrum of lighting triggers in the plant as far as any specific plant response to it. Nothing so far to report.

I'd imagine a plant senses or "feels" everything thru the entire spectrum of light, but does it have an effect is the question?

In the eighties and nineties we were using green lights in the grow room so this is nothing new

I used green lights for a decade with no negative effect, so if you want to get deep into the science that's up to you, but the general answer is you can use it without issue, but try to limit them to as needed, jmo
