Green moss on plugs...

I have a green what looks like moss on the top of the rockwool of my clones . I bough these clones at a local disp and didn't take to close of a look at them. I noticed one has some green moss on it at the start and didn't think about it to much. I put them all in dwc. Now two others have the moss and it seems to be spreading over the top of the cubes. However all the plants look great and the root are well through the net pots in just a week. Should I be worried about the moss?

It's algae, just cover the top of the rockwool.

Yes, I just algae. The grower allowed light to hit the cube. Same thing happens with fish tanks.

Should I cover the whole top with a white paper cover with just the stem sticking through?

The algae won't kill the plant, but like a weed it will feed on the nutrients. That's really the only issue I can think of other than it just looking gross. If you block the light it will die in day or two. Cover it however you like. There's no single right way to do it just be creative

I have covered the moss like this . Is this ok to leave on forever?

I did something similar to that with my rapid rooters, because a few of them developed green on the top. I just kind of scraped the small amount of green off and no more developed. Once I transplanted into soil I stopped using the covers.

I figure It'll be cool but just wanted to make sure. They are in DWC right now.
