Greenhouse BB harvest. SOME pics included

sorry for the lack of pics...i harvested one of the smaller BB phenos...42 grams dried...(not great...but for the size not bad).

i chopped the 2nd one today...(4 more to go)...this pheno was more sativa like with a large cola...thats the pic you see below. thought it looked pretty good. this MIGHT be the biggest cola...i only have 2 left (i think) that take after a sativa.

overall i expect as much as 9-10 1/2 oz total dry weight when finished...

Just wanted to share...more pics tomorrow/Saturday.


I'm drying using the 3 part method of:
A) trim then hang the buds on pins and ropes
B) place in paper bag
C) cure in jar

enjoy.


EDIT: it a mod could move this to the harvest section I'd appreciate it...i mistakingly posted it here.

ive got some BB goin to that are taking a reallllll long time. what was your total time in flower????

really long as well...(dont have the exact length at the moment). however please keep in mind that not all the hairs on big bang will turn orange...some will be honey colored or still possibly white...so if thats what you're waiting for skip it...BB is supposed to be ready in 8 to 9 weeks...harvest no later than wk 10 in my opinion.

UPDATE...no new pics yet (sorry) but i did finish chopping all my plants down...it was a very very VERY tiring process. i trimmed plants a solid 10+ hrs this weekend...i never had to trim that many plants at a time (6 plants) that were between 35-55in (had stretching during first phase of flowering)... since i never had to trim so much at one time i wasn't use to the fatigue that would begin set in after the first 2 plants in a row...i trimmed 5 of mine in 2 days...it was rough...

i can't stress it enough as my hands are killing me...by my last two plants i just chopped at the base of the stem and hung it upside down on rope while trimming it because the branch by branch method felt as if it was taking wayyy too long...i ended up with so much trim that i didnt save any from the last plant and a half.

i plan on taking pics once its dry.. or at least in jars for the curing stage. i also played with leaving the plants in darkness before the chop (for the ones i couldn't get to on the first day) and it worked well..it was only 24 hrs darkness and it looked wayyy more frosty than the rest of my buds...it really worked...next grow im gonna try some plants in 2 days darkness and some in 3 and see how it compares...

i think im gonna be decently pleased with this grow...never very good at guessing yield by looking at it so i wont start now...however based on yield off of the first plant (which is already dried/cured) i SHOULD get 9 oz dry if every plant is equal weight (which they are not...the others were bigger than that one so fingers crossed. now time to rest mine.

actually i have searched the forum and come across your grow..i been following it loosely for awhile now...(i searched greenhouse big bang and your thread came up). plants are looking really good.
