Grow closet setup - need a little help?

Hello,

I am starting my first grow soon and I decided to set up a closet grow for personal reasons.

I am going to be using a 600W HPS Light which comes with different bulbs for the veg and flowering stages.

I also have a good thermostat and thermometer to install.

However I am having difficulty understanding the carbon filter. I don't have a vent in my closet and my window is far away from my closet. If I were to install one, would the exhaust end still be in the closet, or would it have to go somewhere outside of it? Because I really have no room for a long aluminum tube coming from my closet or something.

you at least need to vent into room not just vent into closed closet.............

Your going to need to cool your light somehow. Think about that first. Now you could cut a whole in your ceiling or get a badass window or better yet portable A/C. Onc you got that figured out then you can move on to the nex subject.

Im my closet there is a board you can move to get into the attic, I cut holes in the board and vent it up into the attic. then out the roof in an old gas hot water heater vent! once you get it into the attic there is usually an easy way to get it out from there! I place my carbon filter towards the top of my room with a fan blowing it into the attic and have another fan blowing on my lights! I just keep the a/c in the house set to 70 and my room never sees over 85.
