NEED HELP BEFORE IT GETS WORSE! RUST SPOTS!! DWC!!
set up:
DWC
R/O water
GH nutes flora series, cal mag, rapid root
PH: 5.8
PPM :400
8x 23watt CFL (day light)
TEMP:81Fday/75Fnight
RH:41%day/50%night
4x3x7 box in closet
inline(room air) and exhaust(to outside)
plant is 3 weeks from seed

I have done a ton of research all I see is that its Cal deficiency but im using cal-mag 1tsp per gallon using 3-1/2 gallons of water = 3 tsp is this not enough? or is my PPM to low? This started after the second week when i started to feed I did start with 580 ppm after i noticed the spots i brought it down to 400 ppm and it looks like its slowly spreading. Its only on the the first 4 tru leaves, can someone advise on what to do while shes young??

over feeding. Why are you using cal-mag ? Who told you that you need that shit ? If you are changing your resevoir on a regular basis , you don't need any other additives other that your normal flora series. Thats it. keep it simple and less things will go wrong.

This is not nute burn. Its a cal mag thing. I would get my nutes back up. You can go a little heavy with the cal mag. Those spots are not going to "get better". You can't bring back the dead baby, and those cell clusters on the leaf are dead. These will be bottom leafs, and are going to get shitted up any way, not to worry. Cal mag is also heavy with N so watch for leaf tip burn.

you dont need to make 2 threads, 1 is enough. delete one and keep the other.

You say get the nutes back up? whats a good ppm for the seedling stage? Thanks for the advice doesnt seem like a big issue

definitely calcium deficiency. Up your cal/mag and watch for issues on new growth. As stated, the damage won't heal, but you won't have problems in the future. use the gh to label, and go with 5-8ml per gallon cal/mag in addition to your regular labeled gh nute schedule. Gh lacks on the calcium, so cal/mag + is absolutely necessary, especially with ro

At that age and stage, you should be using the 3-2-1 with gh. 15ml grow, 10 ml micro, and 5ml bloom (make sure you mix right, micro first, then grow, then bloom, or it won't catalyze correctly). Add in 5-8ml per gallon cal/mag+ from botanicare and you should be around 1000-1200ppm. If you mix right, ppm is not as important as your ratio. If it seems too hot, pull out a quart or two and replace with straight ro.

Thanks GrnMn ,Im going to try that suggestion on my next feeding Ill let you know how she goes. Really helped me out thanks again!!!!

No problem, You'll be fine. I use the gh3 and cal/mag, and have ample experience with the products. Good stuff, and great results. Specifically designed for pot, so always follow directions according to label.
