Grow pots?

So you guys know those big grow pots that they keep trees in at nurseries? Would it be fine to use those? I'd be able to get then for free from a friend, and if they work fine then I'd love to use those rather $30 grow bags

Yup you can use them. I use 3 gallon plastic pots that a local nursery gives away free. I do sterilize the crap out of them and drill a lot more drain holes in them.

How would I go about sterilizing them? Sweet, I might totally use them then.

They're plastic yes? I just throw them in the bathtub, scrub them super good with a stiff brush in scalding hot water. Then I dry them then wipe them down really good with a bleach water solution then rinse them again with hot water to get any residual bleach off.

If your looking just for 3 gal pots talk to a landscaper who buys and plants them they usually throw them out nurserys will reuse the pots when they transplant to bigger pots I thought you were looking for big pots
