Grow Room Cooling System ?

Hi, I have to start planing to get a cooling unit in to my grow room for the summer..
I can not install a mini split system because its a apartment building so it has to be a moving unit ..
the only solution might be the one with ducting for the hot air removing..the only thing is that hot air
removed is non filtered so it needs to be directed in to an other tent for filtration other vise there is a smell problem...
also I am wondering if I could use those non ducted untits which work with the water evaporating principle
..just don't understand how would they work in flowering stage since they produce water in the air..?
Would they rise rh too high ?

since you have to get a portable ac get the dual hose only that way the intake and the exhaust is clean air and wouldnt need to be filtered through a carbon filter. The swamp cooler only work in low humidity with the rh being 40%-70% it would move the hot humid air around. You may need to get a dehumidifier for the area if you cant keep the rh down.

Hi thanks ,so that sounds like a good option...: so for me to understand how the unit works exactly , lets go thru how it operates :
I can install the unit inside the grow tent , it pulls air thru duct no. 1 from outside of the grow tent and produces cool air from the machine in to the tent and thru duct no. 2 it blows warm air out again, but non of the removed hot air is pulled from the grow tent and so it creates a positive blow of cool air only, and any removed air and heat is the same what just went thru the machine and came from outside....so if it pulled like 100 cubics air from outside it cooled some of it like 40 % and 60 % is recycled straight back out included the heat energy caused by the cooling operation...
Sorry if it is a bit repeating of the same details but this is the way I can be sure there is no error of my understanding of the procedure..

..anyway, so if instead if one would use a standing unit with one duct and kept the machine outside of the tent and cut a hole and mouth the cooling units blowing part/grill with tape etc. to make it tight against the hole cut in the tents wall it woul do the same thing...and now none of the cooled air would be drawn from the tent only from outside back panel from the surrounding room and the produced cool air blown in to the tent...so then the removal duct line with hot air would have non smelly air either...

The intake and exhaust for the condenser are suppose to be separate from the intake of the room but it may pull some air from the grow room if that is a concern then I would suggest adding http://www.blueairproducts.com/products.html or a 4" fan and carbon scrubber on the exhaust
I have seen a few people say the dual hose still leaks some smell that is why if it is a concern you can address the issue before its a problem. Now it could be the model they had bought. I have this one running in the veg room http://growershouse.com/ideal-air-dual-hose-air-conditioner-12-000-btu
This will compare single and dual hose ac and has the best pics https://www.dudegrows.com/convert-portable-air-conditioner-single-dual-hose-design/

The best way I have found to use a window unit is to give yourself a room in between to keep at a steady temperature, then use and intake fan to pull that cool air into your grow room as you need it.
Obviously this isn't practical for everyone.. But it works well

Cheers for the schematics...with mini split you could do closed room CO2 grow ,super stealth and stellar results !

yes what he is telling is it the better idea then portable AC

portable AC are crap the energy vs the area of acutal cooling ......huge rip off
a windowshaker is a much better buy....go a half ton more then what the math saids to prolong the life of the unit(not running at 100% all the time)

as for a apartment
before they come into your area they have to give u a notice of inspection 24 to 72 hours depends where u are

keep that in mind while u are building the set out .......set it up to be broken down and moved in a short amount of time
if u ever have too they give u the notice u go and get a Uhaul truck break everything down move it into the truck including plants (park it in the shade)
they come in u pass they leave u put it back up

just FYI for yah AC units are about 85% sealed up so if u are planing on adding in Co2 take this into account set the opening above your bud lvl

as for a AC unit in the house just account for the water that is going to drip out the back and the heat the unit will make on the other side of the grow room ( over sizing the unit will reduce the amount of heat it makes as it is not working as hard to do the job)
