Hey there guys,
new to the forum and looking for some advice, I've recently moved into a new place and have an area that is just screaming grow room, I'm after thoughts and advice on the best way to setup my room and "try" to keep costs down, also how to utilise the space I have for the highest yield by growing soil/hydro/aero.
ok so here goes,
my space is
2.5m wide
4m long
1.8m floor to ceiling height
so I cant use the tents that I currently have as they are too tall, so am thinking dedicated grow room.
I am planning on using 600w electronic ballasts superlumens or nanolux, initially I am hoping to purchase 4 600w kits with adjustawing reflectors, and then adding another 2-4 kits at a later stage, as funds become available.
the walls and ceiling are concrete blocks and the property is rented so I cant paint the walls therefore will have to mylar it out, not an issue really as relatively inexpensive.
there is a window which I would like to use to bring in clean air to the room, smell isn't really an issue so can I get away without extraction? or should I use the window for in & out?
originally I was planning on putting 6 plants under each light in 10l coco/perlite pots, there is another person in on the grow, but he thinks he's a know all and there's no telling him anything.
he wants to go hydroponic and I have no problem of going down that route, just that some of the kits are expensive and what to go for, ie ebb and flow, dwc , etc and also in those kits the pots are really small and close together, so would have smaller plants? but a faster turnaround?
the other thing is how am I going to supply enough plants to utilise all the lights, so I was thinking mother obviously, ive read that you should mother a plant for 8 weeks before taking any cuttings, I do have a 250w magnetic ballast and a cupboard I was eying up, would I be better having 2 or 3 mothers so I could get more clones? as buying 24 seeds is gonna get expensive lol.
my maximum initial budget is 2000e, so any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
thanks in advance
