Grow Room Setup/Feedback!

Hey guys. I figured I'd make a thread describing my grow room to see what the experts have to say! All feedback is welcome, but please keep in mind this IS my first time. Some of the things I say may sound completely stupid to you because you know a lot more than I lol, I'm sure of it. I've spent that past few weeks reading up on all kinds of information and this is what I've come up with.

Type of Plant I'll be Growing:
White Widow (WW)

Location:
Hot State - Outdoor - Inside a grow room

Expected Completion Time:
7-9 Weeks

The Setup

Grow room:
The Grow room I'll be using can be found here. Simple grow tent GL120 Dimensions: 3'11" x 3'11" x 6'7"

Lighting: I did some extensive research on the lighting aspect of this grow, reading about how various types of lights are good for individual stages of growth; therefore came to the conclusion that I should buy all three types of lights for the three stages:

1) Fluorescent - Germination Stage to promote healthy, fast growth
2) Metal Halide - Vegitation Stage to promote continues healthy growth
3) High Pressure Sodium - Flowering stage to yield bigger buds

- They will all be 250 watt bulbs
- They will all be purchased in pairs and placed; One on top / One on the side of the grow room & plant will be rotated 90 deg everyday
- Not sure if I should use a timer or just do it myself (I don't mind checking in everyday)

Ventilation: 6" Centrifugal Exhaust Fan - connected to 6" aluminum ducting - connected to port of grow room (NOT SURE** Whether to add a circulation fan as well - I might as well)

Soil: I have NO idea. I'll be researching soils after I complete this thread, I probably should have done so before haha but maybe you guys can give me some good ideas.

Water: I plan on using nutrient rich, organic soil therefore won't need nutrient infused water etc. I'll be using distilled tap water (let sit for 30 hours to evapo. all chlorine etc)

Light Cycles: Cycles start @ 6am

1. Germination Stage - 20hrs ON / 4hrs OFF (Fluorescent 250watt)
2. Vegetation Stage - 20hrs ON / 4hrs OFF (Metal Halide 250watt)
3. Flowering Stage - 12hrs ON / 12hrs OFF (HP Sodium 250watt)

Temperature Regulation: I don't think the lights I'll be using will give off heat (I hope not, I live in a hot climate) and the fans I'm using SHOULD keep the temperature to a cool 80 deg

Humidity Regulation: Dehumidifier (Thanks @Hotrodharley)

Thanks again guys, means a lot! I'll be posting a blog once I get this project underway!

9 weeks for WW? Nope. Not if you mean seed-to-weed times. Humidity control? Go to Lowes and ask to see a dehumidifier. Do yourself a favor too. Forget the term pH for a long time. By the time you will even understand why you will see there is no need to know growing plants in good commercial soil. Check out Fox Farms line of soils.

Forget nutrients for now. Get a real plant up and then talk about it. For God's sake get a time or timers. Circuit breaker/surge suppressor equipped light strip (multi-strip) plugged into timer. Lights plugged directly into timers can cause a fault in the internal switches on timers making your lights stay on usually. Bad thing.

Go big to grow big on air, containers and lights. T5 to veg under is efficient and way cool temp wise. A HPS will do it all. If you're looking to save money that is.

Dude, my WW is going to take 7-9 weeks to just finish flowering. They flower 8-14 weeks. Of course I don't put them 12/12 when they just sprouted either. The 8-14 is the breeders times and I have found many to be a week or two short to sell seeds.

Check Paradise Seedss "Vertigo" for a fast seed-to-weed killer. They say 70 days.

WOW that's an extreme flowering period...

Why don't you put them 12/12? Do you transition more softly for less shock/stress?

I'll check them out now, thank you - much appreciated!

EDIT: Just checked out that Vertigo, needless to say I might be changing from WW to that. I'll have to check up on the specifics of what conditions (specifically) it likes so I can grow efficiently and smoothly of course.
