Grow site problems.

the problem is ive looked a lot of places and cant find shit.


every spot is too close to people.

and i cant afford driving to the mountains every day almost to water...

does anyone have any tips to look for. i know this is really broad question. but i need some help

Find some place where the water table is high enough that you don't have to water. Is that possible where you live? I always plant next to wetlands, and never water. Never. I haven't hauled a bucket of water in 5 years. I can go a month without visiting my sites if I have to. It's as much of a security measure as it is a convenience; the more times you travel back and forth to your plants, the more risk you run of someone seeing you and wondering what the heck you're doing out there in the middle of nowhere.

how do you know if the site is below the water table?

Well, you don't want it below the water table, because then it would be underwater. You want it to be close to the water table, so the roots can get down to it quickly. Just plant it a few feet upslope from the waterline on a lake, stream, or marsh.

you could dig a hole down and see how far down you have to dig before you hit water and plus if its good soil put it back in and its nice and loose for you, that what im doing, I have the same problem, look at some maps like on google and look at the satalite image it may surprise u how your town looks from above, you can also get a bucket and plant it in that then hang it way up in a tree, but u have to make sure its not goin to fall down.

Itz totally worth it to have to drive to the mountains. Thats what im going to be doing this season. I don't Want to make the trek every week or so. But in the end its all well worth the work and gas money it may cost. The mountains offer the best environment around my area, and best level of privacy and protection from nosy landlords and neighbors.
