Grow Tent or Closet Space?? 1st grow.

Hello RIU, ok i got my plant in my closet, as u can see in the pics. I got a feeling that my setup is poor and i want my plant to get the most out of the light but i cant cover everything with milar.

So i was thinking of getting a big box u know make it my tent. Only concern is how am i going to work the lights. I know they need to be atleast 1 or 2 inch away from the plant. Working with 3 cfl daylight 100 watt each 5000k. Also the tent will be good so when i switch to darkness no light will disrupt her sleep.

Any ideas, and i know this might be a dumb thread but i just dont know what to do and want my plant to get back on track.Sorry about my ghetto setup but hey its better then nothing. Sorry its so long Thank you.

have you ever thought that your plant need a good vents for good air from your closet ? do you have any exhaust for intake the hot out and another one for fresh airflow come inside closet from outside ? if you dont then i suggest take your plant out of the closet and put on the window sill till you got proper equipment or put plant outdoor it will be best thing for your plant and yourself :)

im planning to make a cardboard as grow box, it saves your money a lot, and buy two fan cpu cooler at the bestbuy for ten bucks each...for exhaust and fresh air for cardboard you will do fine. good luck

Don't be sorry. Be defiant. Own it. I like the tent idea cuz it is set up for intake and exhaust. Plant looks good so far.

Get a tent. Best decision I made with growing. So much easier than trying to grow in a closet or homemade cab. Everything you need is already there and you don't have to cut holes in walls or anything like that.

im a rook to, havent even started but im gathering material and building as i continue to read up. I perfer to build my own out of quality wood but stealth is my main reason, so i can customize the deminsons and not attract the eye. if stealth isnt an issue then do what izoc666 said put it by the window. cover the glass with tape or whatever light masking agents you want. go to walmart, lowes, home depot etc and get the dual fan incerts. i was browsing earlier, they have one where u can adjust each fan fo intake or exhaust. get ventalation duct to seperate them. i recomend setting the plant lower, so the heat travels upward and moves out faster.

you can even run both as exhaust and get a rotatig fan and use that and the natural room air (AC) to control. if odor is to strong, find an activated carbon filter and run it.you can even enclose the plant, using the wall to help so u can control environment even better.

last thing and then ill shut up, when u read use a highlighter to note important facts and then make notes in a seperate notebook just for growing. i memorized alot by writing and reading, writing and reading etc.

hopefully this helped, even though i havent started all i do all day is research and think about different ideas. let me know what you end up doing. maybe i can learn from you to.
