Grow Tent Question (GrowLab GL60)

I'm looking into getting a GL60 from GrowLab, which measures 24"x24"x63". Unfortunately, I only have 62" of vertical space. Is the GL60 adjustable enough to lower the top supports about an inch, or would it have to be cut/modified? There is another 24"x24"x55" tent that will work, but the GL60 seems like it would be a really great option if I could get it to fit.

(Other tent suggestions are welcome as well -- my available space is 24"x24"x62")

I never heard seen a tent that was adjustable in size but that dosent mean they dont hvae them just never seen one or heard of anyone with one....
Its like a pole you could cut an inch from all sides off but then you would have excess material hanging down which would suck so i dont know

If I cut an inch off of all of the supports and re-drill any mounting holes, etc I think it could work. I could just hem up the extra inch of fabric, or leave it hanging. This plan would certainly be no guarantee that the GL60 is able to be modified in said manner. Hmm, I'll keep thinking! Thanks for the response.

Any other thoughts?

Both HomeBox & Secret Jardin now have product lines of modular tents, so you can adjust to suit your cfg........

i have the GL 120 you can see it in my avatar (should have got the next one up, the space fills FAST!) the canvas/mylar is custom fit to the frame, so cutting the frame asses you out. also, those tents need MAD venting dude...i have a 6" vortex inline for my 1k cooled hood, and 2 6" duct boosters with venting for air flow. air flow is KEY is these things, bro.....TRUST.

i have a gl60. i guess you could just cut the vertical poles 1" and your done. its a very simple design but a quality made tent. the fabric will be a bit taller than your frame but you can fold it at the bottom or top. i have a 4" inline fan with a carbon filter and a 250w light my temps are 72-82. i think your plan will work just fine good luck.

Just make sure you have good ventilation. That in my opinion is the most important area to cover when tent growing. It's very easy for the tents to get hot.

That's good information. How does the top of the tent frame attach to the vertical poles? Will it be feasible to replicate (while maintaining structural integrity) after an inch is taken off?

I have the same tent and the metal poles just slide into the plastic corner pieces. If you cut it that would work it would just be baggy on top a little. You could get pvc of the same size and cut it to the correct length and save the poles.

i have a similar scenario here, my space is only 50cm deep so id need to cut 10cm of each pole. maybe tack the back up a bit to stop it being baggy??? did u buy this tent, id like to know how it went
