"Growbro" Organic C02 Generator Kit???

Hello all,

I have a quick question about Co2 and the different methods people use. I would really like some clarification about this "organic" generator. I've heard using vinegar and baking soda is a waste of time. (I can actually speak on THIS and tell everyone I felt it WAS a waste of time... and MESSY)

Would it be worth it to purchase something like this? or is it just another way to sell V&BS? I'm going to be embarking on my first DWC in a few weeks and REALLY want Co2. (I know it's a KEY element in what we all want) My budget is fairly limited now so im trying to watch what i spend, But i know Co2 is an ESSENTIAL so if i HAVE to, I'll spring for a tank.
(I already have a regulatory sysyem and the tubing for it)

CO2 supplementation is definitely not necessary for high yields. Especially if your growing inside your own home (usually fairly high CO2)

Focus on making a healthy run on dwc.

Brewing beer or wine will produce enough CO2. The problem is that it only really works for like 2 days at full output, then you have to brew another 5 gallons of beer. That ends up being a lot of beer, lol. Brewing 5 gallons of beer will produce 3-5 pounds of CO2.

Unless you recycle your air trying to add CO2 is pointless.

So without an air-recirculation system Co2 is overrated?
Lets make this clear.

Venting, proper non-recirculating or sealed setup runs to clear the air every 2-3 minutes. So in the course of 1 day you will have 480x the air in that space if not recirculating/sealed. So you need 480x the CO2 supplementation for the same effects.

Even at much slower exchange rates you can see where this would be a problem, you flush your CO2 right out just after adding it.

So what if its inside of a seald closet? 3x3x8? a 5lbs tank couldnt get the "job" done?

Edit: Only "venting" would be on my watering schedule.
