Yo,Whats Up Growers Everywhere,
So Like I wrote in the title, I am growing 6 plants,3 White Widow 1 Girl Scout Cookie,Gorilla Glue&Hulk&they are all Auto Flowering seeds.. I am using an Ativia QH2000 LED light that covers a 3x3 foot space.
I wanted to maximize the light by using all the space within the coverage bc I wanted the biggest yield i could get. Since they are auto flowering,i couldnt top the plants to get larger yields with less plants. I am also starting to grow 3 regular feminized seeds but thats a different topic.
As you would expect its a very crowded area. I wrapped string around the base of the plant and the top,so the branches grow upwards instead of whatever way they want to grow.Everyday I am maneuvering the plants all around to make sure the colas on every branch were not being covered by leaves-so they can get the best light possible.
My question is, Is it ok to cut leaves so more light can get through? On a lot of the leaves I cut the leaves at the half way point bc i read thats a better way to make space. I read if you trim leaves, it messes with the intake system of the plant. What are the effects to the plant if you went ahead trimming leaves-will there really be a negative impact? I trimmed a lot of the lower leaves &Branches that get no light anyway.I know this is probably written about a lot but I couldnt find anyone giving a factual answer about the effects trimming will have on a plant. Also if anybody is growing 6 in a 3x3 space and want to share how you made everything work, thatd be cool.

I grow one in a 3x3. I don't see a need for much more than that....

You'll want more light as it's only 200 putting you at 22.2 watts a sqft. Also you can top autos.

Last time i tried topping the autos they went into flowering mode before they grew big enough and I didnt get a better yield then i would have if i grown it normally.
