Growing at the window

Hi guys -
Let me talk through the steps I’ve already taken and the steps I intend to take to grow my first plants, let me know if I will actually get a harvest by the end lol.

I’ve bought 4 autoflowering, feminized seeds and intent to grow them for the 10 weeks (or so I’ve read).
I live in not-so-sunny Scotland and want to grow them by my window without lights. We get a little bit of sunlight these days as we are coming into Summer but definitely not the 18-24 hours I’ve read you need, although I’ve also read for autoflowers sunlight isn’t a huge deal compared to other seeds.

I have purchased 4 x 5L pots for the seeds with 10L miracle grow potting soil and 10L coconut peat soil.
Not going to mix the soils, just 2 plants with one type and 2 plants with the other.

I know these conditions aren’t ideal and not expecting anything crazy, just a project while I’m in quarantine!
Is there a chance anything can come of this?

Thanks

Also your COCO SOIL is not soil. It’s a hydroponic style medium meaning it has almost no nutrients to carry you through a grow.

and in answer to your question (Wales UK here) fuck no you can’t grow them on your window sill and expect a harvest of anything more than a few grams.

complete waste of money on the seeds to do this to them.

you’d be better off buying a plastic pop up greenhouse from Home Bargains or Poundland and sticking them outside.

Thanks for the replies!
So I guess some lights may be the answer
Is it harsh on your electricity?
Also, what watt of LEDs?

It can be done. Maybe not the same yields that you'd get with lights but it can be done.

Depending on what your goals are, a nice little COB LED or 100w quantum board would offer best quality/money saver.
