Growing Autos at a random time

Hi , i am growing acouple autos and during the week days they get 18/6 daily, but this guy told me that you can turn the light on at any time, he said he told me that i could keep the light on all weekend, then at the first of the week, it could go back to 18/6. Dose anyone know if this will effect the flowering on the Autos? Will they still flower anyway? or will they be stunted? Any constructive criticism is welcomed.

You can grow autos 24/7 from seed to harvest.Whats most important is that you keep your schedule consistent.You can grow them at 18/6 all the way through if you want to save power.Just remember light is cumulative,the more hours of light I think the less intensity you will need.Thats my take on it anyways.Im in the process of securing a PAR meter,for dialing this in for 24hour growth.
