I just found a link online for anyone that doesnt want to buy a pH tester. Click here: I've already made some strips and they work fairly accurately. Also, today I found a very easy way to make a small (Not more than a few square feet) greenhouse so that if you choose you can start your seeds outdoors in pots. It doesn't require any bought materials. If anyones interested in that I can post pics of mine tomorrow and an explanation.

If you look at the article there is another link to determining the pH. Its crude but accurate enough. If you cant find it you can view it here: http://chemistry.about.com/library/weekly/aa012803a.htm
