Decided to start a discussion about growing in what i consider an indoor/outdoor environment. Iv'e had some set backs with animals and i'm playing catch up. want to get it right from here on out.

Depends on your grow method. Could be nothing more than a light and hand watering pots or it could be a sealed room with CO2, AC, dehumidifier, IR, UV, UC, etc.

Depends on many things really, but first things first... if it is not legal where you are then a garage is a big, big, big DONT DO IT!.. Also depends what you want, if you want upto 14g thwn a couple cfls, basic soil, nutes and seeds will get you there. If you want to smoke the dank over the next few years then you should be looking into a hydro grow with 4 1000w hps lights, a c02 system, ozone generator (optional) and a 3m by 2m tent... there is a reason weed costs the same as gold. You can grow it, or you can grow it well

Lol what makes a garage any different than any other grow?

Bolt the garage door shut. Build an insulated room, add ac, dehumidifier and co2.

Fuck 1000s unless you have 10ft ceilings and DE's. SE are good for vertical use at the point. Nothing else.

12 315s would absolutely destroy 4 1000s.

It's all about budget really.

thanks for the feedback peeps. To give you more info, iv'e started small with a couple plants since this is my first time and its a trial run so i don't waste seeds in case i screw up. My set up as of now is a 24'' 48'' 60'' grow tent. lighting with a 300w led full spctrum uv/ir system. and a standard 6'' dia vent duct fan. garage is not insulated. so far the environment in the tent is around 50 to 70 percent humidity and temp is between 65 and 80 degrees. waiting to see how the plants react to this and go from there. But i never thought about continuing the growth to produce better results with hydro furious but ill keep it in mind. Trying to keep cost low for the moment and see what i get out of it as is but any ideas for improvement is very appreciated !

That high Rh might come back to bite you in the ass when your plants are in flower...aside from that as long as you have good air flow I think you'll be fine.

Very good point! But as you said its about budget, and for the average grower they will not be able to pump that amount of money in making a garage a bad idear. But budget is key i guess
