growing in a small dresser

i have a 20" height 22"x16" dresser, is it big enough?

how can i keep my plant short? if i'll do a 12/12 light cycle from seed the plant will be short, and 12/12 means i need 2700k cfls (for flowering)

I'm new to growing too, my box will be 24" but I understand low stress training is a must for micro grows as it helps with plant height. Not sure if you heard of it. I need to do a lot of research on light cycles but check out low stress training or "LST" if you haven't already.

ummm i also have a 40" height dresser but the problem is i want to setup a key for the grow box but the bigger dresser has like 2 doors which i can look but also and upper drawer, i have no idea how i can i make the drawer unopenable (lol) or blocked...

Use a Scrog net, that way it will grow in a wider radious as you keep tucking the branches underneith, and eventually you just let it be and you dont need
the Scrog anymore, and since it will be larger in in width, you will have more virtical branches equalling more yeild.

It doesnt matter what method he uses. After you take away the pot height and the height of the light etc. 20" doesnt leave you much growing room.

he can use a wide rectangle box. those boxes are not so tall, so that leaves him enough vertical space.. im using a pc case with 18.5" height and getting decent results for personal use

1. Start from seeds with short genetics (eg lowryder). Better yet, if you can start with clones, you can avoid most vegetative growth altogether.
2. Wide shallow pot to reduce overall height.
3. Keep light(s) as close to plant as possible to reduce stretching. If light is fixed, then raise plant to approach light.
4. Training: low stress training, topping, "SCROG". . .all of these things basically involve making the plant grow out a bit horizontally instead of straight up or down.
5. Minimize vegetative growth. 12-12 from seed is one way to do this.

Use some screwdriver and couple metal angles at the inside of the box
