Growing medium: Rabbit manure

Not sure if anyone has tried this, but if you have, I'd love to hear your results.

I put a bean in a couple days ago. Waiting to see if it will sprout. There are zero amendments for the first stage here. If it pops and makes it to the 3-5 node (depending on how vigorously), I'll transplant into rabbit manure amended with eggshells, citrus peels, and banana peels.

Curiosity killed the cat... Let's see if it kills the weed.

For what it's worth, I did fill a bucket about halfway with water and top it off with manure. Mashed it all together to break up the ball structure and drained the water off.

Maybe that cleansed some of the urine out. A guess anyway.

Usually I only do it at a 50/50 rate with soil or coco, or vermicompost it for extra fertilizer, but I'll guess we will see if it works.

Have you ever tried it Robert?

Never together raised rabbits in Mississippi and started growing in Texas used the droppings for all outdoor plants it was like solid gold ... Looking for a source here in so tex for rabbit manure or mushroom compost

I use it in all my mixes. I was worried about aeration, which is why I usually mix it. It does seem a little airy when it dries out though, so maybe there's hope. Should open up air pockets as it decomposes too.

All in all, it's good shit haha.
I got it from a friend. I'm going to get me some rabbits for the manure. We have chickens. I got a huge compost pile and a worm bin.

Same thing here.

I have rabbits, chickens, ducks, and pigs. As far as manure goes, the rabbit is very nice because it's cold. I vermicompost the rest. Worms are good protein for the birds. Win win as far as I'm concerned.

Hell, even the ducks old pond water works wonders in the outdoor garden.

There used to be a pond on our property. I'm going to rent a backhoe and dig it back out and stock it.

Sounds like a blast. You'll have to get some ducks haha.

I just have 3 110gal landscaping ponds I use. I have 4 different breeds of ducks, so they really enjoy they're own pond. 2 of the breeds get along quite well which is why I only use 3 ponds.

Duck shit works great. You have to compost it though. The pond water you can use as is.

I know where some beavers made a lake in a holler. It is beautiful. I thought about making foam rings with net pots and doing a hydro in nature.

I saw on strain hunters they did it in a creek in Jamaica.

That would definitely be interesting. I know it would be impossible here in the north. Our creeks are COLD but I imagine if you find some warm water down there it could be doable.

I don't know if they would get all the nutrients they need but I'd sub to see it.
