growing mystery seeds

got some seeds in an oz bag of some top shelf here in my medical state. weedmaps delivery.

i have no idea what kind of seeds they are. they are in their second week.

my question is about veg time and flowering times.

is their a consistent rule to follow? since I have no idea what strain(s) they may be. it seems to really vary from indicia to sativia to strain to strain.

running 24/7 250watt hps in a 10 gal DWC system.

i have not sexed them yet, they are too small

thanks

veg until you want typically people stop vegging at 4-8 weeks, just depends on your personal system, room to grow , and if you plan on topping , firm, etc whatever
veg state is really up to the grower themselves.
some people go not by weeks but by how many nodes are on the plant, some people wait until you have 4 node areas rather than weeks itself.

and some growers even skip that all together and go straight 12/12 from seed.

as for flowering times, once the plant grows more consistant leaves you will be able to tell if its leans towards more indica to sativa or if its a hybrid strain, once you know more from there you can use your best judgement on how long you will be approximately growing the plant
however that being said, flowering times on plants themselves from the seed banks/breeders are often way off
and your best bet at determining flowering and when to harvest is to invest in a jewelers scope so you can see when youre turning amber and whats cloudy and whats clear

The rule is the longer the veg the bigger the yield, do veg as long as you possibly can, as sunni said 4-8 weeks, I dont get people going from seedling to flower, plant has no time to develop properly and it interrupts the plants circadian rythum and retards its natural growth cycle, I'd say for a decent yield at least 5 nodes. always love the 500 gram per sq meter yield quoted from the breeder. Always makes me laugh, try getting 500 grams from a 60 litre pot lol.
