man fuck IF, how about once they get big and flower, the regular chopper just flying by and sees your weed plants, not even that just ANY plants on your roof its obviously weed right why else would it be up there? anyway i know its like the BEST spot for dope plants but it cant be done bro, i live in a canadian suburb and i wouldnt dare do it let alone in LA, good luck with the plants nonetheless though

Not to the woods, light will be too low and there's a good chance the soil wont dry and you get root rot and lose everything. If you don't get root rot, the plants will stretch and your yield will be awful (10 grams maybe) If you really dont have somewhere else, search a DAMN long time in those woods for a well lit spot that gets a LOT of sun.
edit: also YES get them off the damn roof. you will be owned hardcore. Better off in the front yard than the roof because they will at least look like a plant. Also don't put them in the front yard.

keep them on the roof and shoot down the helicopters with a rpg as they fly by, thats the cool way to do it

or you can just observe choppers.....i got about 5 diff ones that fly by my house every day and on occasions we get a coast guard or police chopper. i rarely see them about once a month. you can get some binoculars and scout out the choppers and see what kind of people are cruising through your neighborhood. and i mean what is the chance that even if they spot it, they would go through all that trouble for one plant? id say dont tell anyone, get those fake flowers clipped on or maybe build a small wooden greenhouse on your roof and youll prolly be fine.
