Growing Organic!

Im looking for a great medium to grow in and want to stay organic. Please help.

Will this formula work well?

65% Spheagnum peat moss
20% Perlite
15% mushroom compost

Mixed all together with 1 cup of baking soda water from a gallon mixture of 1/2 teaspoon baking soda to gallon of water for PH control.

Any and all comments will be appreciated.

i have another seedling in:
organic potting soil
peat moss
perlite
vermiculite
and mushroom compost.

looks to be doing well but is only a week old. I dont want to waste my time and was hoping to find out more so i can grow confident.

Your medium mix sounds good. I'm wondering what the benefit of using the baking soda instead of Acid PH down is. I used to have trouble getting acid PH down untill all the stores in Cali started opening up.
I'm wondering if the baking soda helps break up the soil or what? Just wondering...

i was told that baking soda makes the soil less acidic and lime juice or even vinegar helps with alkaline issues. I watched it all on youtube. I dont have a PH meter yet so i was hoping it would calm the acidic peat moss and not burn my seedlings.

medical/420 can you tell me about your soil set up,id be interested in learning a bit if you dont mind. so many people go label whore on me and its crazy. I just want to use shit that works not use whats popular just to say im down with the NORM.

I use a SUPER SOIL but i stoped useing ROOTS ORGANIC, because i guess My grow shop got a bad batch (it stinks and make my plants sickly.)

Fox Farm soils seem to works Great, ocean forest and happy frog. also premier Pro-mix Bx seems to be a great growing medium (it dont have any nutes, just peat, lime, mychrohize, perlite)

I also found that taking a handfull of compost mixed with a gallon of water, shakeing it up well and than feeding my plants work great, kinda like a compost tea but with out brewing with a air stone.

Doimite lime will balance your PH.
