Alright, so my plant is around 10 inches in height. The weather where i live now is really nice, 80-90 degree days with tons of sunlight. i water it every day with a mist from a hose. i dont think im overwatering. But for some reason, the stalk of my plant is turning a yellowish brown rather then green. Does anyone know what might be going wrong or know the solution to my problem? thanks

I'm new but with all the reading and researching I've gathered from everything I've read. It might be a lack of nutes, bad soil, a pH issue, or perhaps the daily watering is causing root rot?? I'm new and my guess is as good as yours.. but those are possiblities I should think..

I have a friend that taught me how to grow.

Using Regular Miracle Grow is harmful and burns up the roots.

And watering everyday could cause root rot and a mixture of the 2 could be eating away at your root.

I've always thought best that it will do its own thing if u just let the plant do its own thing naturally and it will prepare itself for any situation its put in.

I have been told and read of people who have had great success with "Tomato Miracle Grow", because tomato's and pot are very similar in growth and strength.

so i use 1/3-1/2 of the level miracle grown(TOMATO) and only water every other day... dont let the plant decieve you, just cause the dirt might look dry doesnt mean it really is... once your plant is healthy again jus watch the plant.. it will tell u if its healthy or not.

ya definitely get rid of that miracle grow, you want something organic. gaurantee the water is a problem. you wanna use distilled water which you can buy by the gallon at a supermarket, or you can boil water and then let it cool off, and thats fine. also dont mist it, the leaves dont need water, the roots soak up the water in the soil and it makes the plant grow so just pour it in the soil. Good Luck Bro!

misting the leaves of the plants is not a very good idea, today in bio class we were learnign bout it lol and the teacher said somthin bout the water causes the stoma to close and stop gas exchange or somthin like that.

idk its just not somthin u should do lol

alright ill deff. stop with misting the leaves.
So for now, im gonna change my watering patterns to every other day instead of every day, and just water around the plant and use distilled water instead of city water. i guess ill just stay with the miracle grow shit until after the harvest is over lol. sound good?

Oh, and does anyone reccomend using any kind of plant food? like a kind that contains boron?

ditch the Miracle Grow, seriously man. that plant is gunna be wicked unhealthy, and dont water every other day, water when the soil is dry. i water till the water comes on my drain holes
then pick up the pot and see how much it weighs, so you know when it needs water or not. possibly go steal a moisture meter from like walmart or somethin.

Good Luck Bro!

im not sure agree with the conclusions that were came to. im not sure what kind of yellowy brown your talking but depending it could just be the stem is tougheing up. do the leaves look unhealthy? and misting isnt neccesarily a bad idea, although city water from a hose is not prime. as for miracle grow, i wouldnt knock it. sure organics are much healthier to smoke and for your plant, but miracle will give them the nutes they need, just dont over do it, infact i would say under do it. get some work shit if you can though man.

Good Luck

wigmo, miracle grows stuff is shitty for growing weed, anything else its fine. but the spikes and shit and whats in it fucks with it, ive had personal experience when i first started growing. for like 4 bucks why not go organic and not have a problem though right?
