Growing time question

I am on my third grow and still pretty green, but I have read so much material on websites, grow guides, and grow journals. My observation especially reading grow journals is that seed banks give flowering times that are inaccurate. It seems to me most growers are 7-21 days past time frames they list.

Am I missing something? I have 2 germinating THC Snow seeds that are from Seed banks in Netherlands. I bought this strain because it flowers quicker at 6-7 weeks. Should I expect to finish probably in 9 weeks?
Many grows seem to past 70 days with strains that are 7-9 weeks flowering times. I see growers with very good setups past listed grow times. Anyone else notice this?

Its just an advertising gimmick. I dont believe in even optimal conditions, that anyone really finishes in the breeders flowering time frame, maybe the very last week if anything. Thats why some people start counting down flowering days once calyxes actually begin to swell.

That makes sense. I just reviewed a local breeders grow journal, and his THC Bomb plants finished on flowering day 76 and his White Widow finished 81 days. Grower used 4 1000 watt HPS and has been growing many years. These strains are 7-9 week strains. 11 weeks, 4 days for white widow.

I agree, in my experience I have never finished within the time limit given by breeders, even with optimal growing conditions, as one said, it's just a sales gimmick.

The breeders flowering times are based on the plant being at peak ripness..and that's with 85% milky10% clear..and 5% amber...a lot of growers tend to leave there plants go longer than the stated flowering time because they want a more of a body narcotic buzz with a lot of amber trics.so I think that's were the the extra time comes in...if growing conditions are not perfect it also delays flowering making them take a couple of weeks extra to finish....when the breeders say flowering time between 9-11 weeks it means there will be pheno.s in the mix that will finish at 9-10 and 11 weeks...hope this helps
