growing tomatoes indoors - you guys are brilliant

Hi! I don't really belong here because I don't smoke and I don't grow bud - but I admit that I have partaken in the not-so-distant past, and somehow I just know the folks around here will be nice to me. I have every intention of using the things you guys have learned to help me optimize yields for all the things *I* miss growing since growing up and moving into an apartment - tomatoes, peppers, spinach, beans, strawberries, oh, god, I could go on all day. I've been doing a lot of research lately, and damned if I don't end up here an awful lot! I've got a great tomato forum, but they're mostly outdoor soil gardeners and a lot of them are more interested in quality than yield. With indoor grows you've got to worry about both - and I feel like you guys understand that more than most 'traditional' gardeners.

Anyway, recently I got it into my head that I wanted to make an LED array to replace the expensive crappy bulbs in an aerogarden because I missed growing my own veggies, and it somehow turned into me designing a whole DIY gardening setup - including LED arrays - from scratch. I'm only just now assembling the first test systems - still waiting on some parts, too - and I haven't even heated up the soldering gun for the lights, but... Somehow looking at you guys' pictures, I think could conceivably be eating home grown spinach in 30 days!

Wish me luck! I'll try not to ask any particularly stupid questions, but bear with me - I'm not nearly stoned enough these days =P
