hey there

im using 3 cfls bulbs... one is 120w (6700k) another is 90w (4500k) and another is 120w (6300k).

is it ok to use these bulbs to grow? i need to have 3 equal bulbs? how does this affect the growing process?

thanks!

Those are equivalent watts not actual. You need more light. 42w cfls are the best dollar value. You can probably find them at Lowes or HD. The best prices are online at Amazon. For six plants you will want around 400w actual.

That 4500K light is honestly pretty useless. You want high K for veg and low K for flower. Plants dont really use much of the light spectrum between red(2700K) and blue(6500K). If you are in veg get some higher powered 6500K's...when you switch out to flowering mode drop in the 2700K lights.

A 42 w cfl should fit a normal socket. It will fit the sockets of clamp reflectors from Lowes etc.
