Growth seems slow, lime green new growth

Hey everyone,

This is my first grow, mostly just an experimental grow to see what it's like. A little bit about my set up; used bag seed, planted after germination 2 weeks ago today. It was put into a small 4" pot with black gold organic potting soil with .05 N but no other nutes, I have 2 55w CFL 's about 3 inches away from the seedling, and a small fan blowing towards it to keep the temp down and air flowing, temp stays around 75-80°F, I water it when the soil feels dry to about 2 inches, water comes from a brita filter on my tap and I lower the ph to about 6-6.5, I bought the roots organics player pack and fed it according to the schedule (but less than the recommended amount) 3 days ago. Soil dried out by last night and I watered it in the evening. Run off from watering was at ph of 6. I've been researching and reading a ton on growing, and in particularly the problem I think I have right now. But there are so many different problems that can occur with a wide range of causes, I can't figure this out with my untrained eye. From what I can guess with everything I've read, it seems like it could be a N deficiency or over watering or even nute burn. But the solution To these problems all differ. Anyways, here are some pictures of her (hopefully) any advice you guys could give me would be a great help. Also it seems like the water takes a bit to drain out when I water it.

The problems I'm seeing are just that the leaves seem really light green compared to other plants the same age as well as a little stunted compared to others I see. Also the first two true leaves seemed to curl downwards at the tip over night.

Too young for at nutes yet. Hold off for another week or 4.
And I suppose I could be wrong, but she looks totally healthy to me bro. You sound like you're doing everything just fine. You've read the right stuff, and seem streets ahead of other newbie growers. You'll wanna add some more lighting as she gets older, but lay off for he nutes and keep up the good work!

Looks fine. Here's a tip for watering when growing in soil. Fill a pot same size as you're growing in with dry soil. When the pot you're growing in feels close to the same, you water. When you water, make sure you get a good run-off.
Feeling the soil the top cpl inches doesn't tell you if soil isdamp in the root zone.

*healthy* Just let it do its thing.

I use a combo of poking, and weight. When you use both, it works well,
I know a lot of people who LITERALLY wait until they see some dehydration droopage in their plants before watering. They'll perk back up within an hour or so. I've seen it work personally, but I don't like letting it dry out that much.
Its all about personal preference though, she doesn't look over watered.

And oh, your other concern, those first little leaves are supposed to die off, don't stress those lil things. If the bladed leaves show yellowing, then think about what you're doing, but so far, you seem to be doing everything just fine.

That's a very healthy sprout. In a week you won't be complaining about slow growth as she looks like she's about to take off.

Yep, they usually go thru what looks like dormant stage before they take off. what it is, is the plant is focusing on root growth to support the growth spurt as it enters veg state.
