GR's Spring 18 5 plant, Two 315W CMH, Barneys Farm LSD, 4 X 4

Started this thread under my old signature, so here we are with the new thread.

Here we are at day 16 of 12/12, 5 Barneys Farm LSD clones (4 #1 phenos and 1 #3 pheno) taken from the last grow. Tried getting others but they did not take.

This is the clone of LSD pheno #5 that I took 33 days (12/26) into 12/12. So today this plant is 45 days old!


This was the only one of 9 that that made it, and it took forever to root and then even longer to start showing new growth.
I rushed her because she was just taking so long to take, so as soon as I saw the roots emerge from the RootRiot I took her out of the my cheap cloner an put into a solo.


Then on 1/21 she was transplanted into this 3/4 gallon plastic pot. As expected transplanting too early slowed the process down a lot.

In the past 6 days or so she has found he place in the world. She has begun to Monster Crop, so much branching going on. 2/9


Now I have to make a decision on what I am going to do with her. I really can't start put her into flower anytime soon as I will be going out of town for a number of weeks this spring. I could just let her go, veg till late June, LST her and put her into flower. Or, do the same thing and take cuttings, in May, when I return from my travels to do a SOG. If she does as I have seen other Monster Crop clones she will put out more branching that I will be able to use. So I will be able to give a shit load of clones to my PTSD group.

Update!
Day 21 12/12

Today at the third week, did a little trimming, mainly blocking fans, and stretched them out to get them more exposed to the light.
Things are going ok and starting to develop quite well, wish I had a bit more time to veg. Just started a third watering cycle, 9:15 PM, 1:30 AM and 5:45 AM, lights are on 9 PM to 9 AM. The 5:45 cycle gets 2 minutes the other two get 1 minute. I wish I had a timer that worked in seconds. On this grow I packed the coco very very loosely and even though I have roots coming out the sides of my Smart Pots at one minute the solution runs through it. I normally pack it tighter so the solution does not move through the coco so fast, but had to try this to learn that lesson. Would like to do 3 - 30 second cycles spaced 10 minutes apart, thinking that would help saturate the root zone. Got a few things to try, we shall see.
As stated I did trim and did some tie down, liking the spread and the even canopy in the 4x4. I will take some pics in the tent tonight. Some before and after trim shots.

This is actually the first real trim they have received except for lower plant cleanup. I finely did a good lower cleanup, I have been so tentative taking from the lower area. That is why I have been getting the larf I get from my grows.
I have 4 pheno 1's and one pheno 3 in the tent. Pheno 3 is really not a keeper, in the original grow she was nothing special, growth habit mainly, both time she has be a slow grower, does not take solution near as well as the others did, volume wise.

This is the first time I have left as much material on the plants, since I grew indoors in soil. All the techniques I have worked with have required heavy defo.
I have been adding additional reflecting material.

This will be interesting to see how it fill in! How will this yield? I have not a clue, have been within 2 zips of all my guesses on my grows, but I have no idea here.

Thanks Rocky, how you been?
I have my tent fairly dialed in, and my Less is More style of grow is working well. Still have lots of work to do in environment control, but with spending a ton there is not much I can really do, so it is what it is.
No I will be back into the Vertical cmh for the fall grow.
I don't really have a veg room, just an ol hamper, about 2.5x2.5 and 4 feet so, when I took these clones I had to keep them low. I did not have time to veg them and train them in the tent for a vertical grow, I needed to get them flowered as I will be head north in late April for a number of weeks. Now when I get back from my trip I will have another horizontal grow, my LSD pheno #5 that I took a clone at day 33 of flower, so I am either going to just flower it out as a monster crop or take clones for a SOG. #5 was a decent yielder.
Getting a very good high for all 5 phenos, one of the best I have grown high wise.

Anyway in the fall I will be doing a 5 plant vertical with Big Buddha Cheese, buddy grew it and it is divine. I will start the seeds 4 or so weeks into the LSD monster crop flower so I will have the time to begin training and when I harvest the MC, they will go in, finish their veg and be trained for flower.

I completed the Cannabis Oil protocol, go back to dr soon, I am not sure.
No, we did not make it to CR, the protocol started right before we were supposed to go.

We plan on heading to Idaho this spring then over to Oregon. Going to be gone three weeks or so.

Glad you got a grow going look forward to hearing about it.

idaho is on our list for sure. we did a brief little bit when we left out of Yellowstone on the west entrance and worked our way back to CO.

did i tell you i sold the CLW? put it on ebay and got $460 for it. not bad. figure i leased it for $140 bucks for all those years. more than paid for itself.

Still have my SS400, my Bud used it for his grow in and about three weeks of flower, I got him two 315's that he is using them now.
Hell if you got that for yours, I may sell mine, LOL. I have gotten my money's worth out of it.

yeah, i had been looking on ebay for a few months just seeing how many of our models were being sold. all of a sudden, there were a bunch of them and they were selling for good money so i figured what the hell, it's collecting dust, time to go!

Update:
Day 28 12/12

Things seem to be going well no real issues to report. Still have uneven waterings, but I believe that is due to me not packing the coco in the smart pots very well and not the same rate of packing per pot. All plants are get the same amt of solution but they are letting it pass through at different rates, even though I am running 1 minute a cycle some are giving off 50% plus run off to get the 20 t0 30% desired in all pots. I began coco growing by over packing and the coco staying to wet. So have been trying to find that right degree of compaction for a more even watering. So on this run it is not very packed at all and very uneven. Anyone have any comments on this?
Other than that I let the ladies grow to close to the lights, no damage I am seeing but got lucky they were 14" from the lamps, raised the back to 18".

Did a very minor trim this morning and spread them out and re-tied them back to the pins in the smart pots. These are some before and afters of the girls, the four LSD Pheno #1 and the one Pheno #3.

Today the tip burn is much more obvious, it's day 30. At day 21 I did my defo but did not think about the light height above the plants. Well the last 5 days of stretch plus two days before I caught it the plants had stretched 6 plus inches. My lamp had been at 20" and when I check them the light was 14" from the top of the plants. I raised it right away but I believe the damage was done.
Not sure how much it is going to upset the plants, I know growth slowed during that period but they are drinking all I can give them and getting fatter. Just wonder how much fatter they would be without one of my fuckups. It is what it is!

Yes, Canna coco, I have use a few others but always had issues, not with Canna.
