GSC snow moon organic grow

Hi y’all,

just got enrolled over here at rollitup and am starting a new grow. Been lurking for a while and hope to share and learn alike.

I’ve just planted 5 420fastbuds girls scout cookie auto. With a little help from the heat of my satellite receiver and the power of the full moon all 5 seeds popped a tap root and are 5cm on their way to being medicine providing mommas.

This will be my first time away from bottled mix nutrients and substitutes. The girls are in 5 gal grow bags with Promix BX, Gaia Green dry all purpose, dolomite lime. Compost Tea will be provided by Kootenay Bio Soils.

This is a tried method with a couple grow channels and Blogs but for an old guy with the same old mentality this is flipping the page and starting over. I hope to update, get help, inform, and learn along the way.

So I don’t know if anyone is in on this or maybe it’s cause I’m new and considered a troll until proven otherwise. ;) I’m going to leave you with an update anyways.

All 5 seeds have risen up to the hlg 100 and its the start of day 1 for these 100 day autos. Fast bud420 GirlScoutCookie. Now names #1Betty #2Boop #3Beau #4Tily and last to pop was #5Mily lol

a second hlg was added in tonight at 36” to aid in the start up since the big pots spread them out quite a bit. I’ve ordered an electric sky es180 to add into these lights but didn’t show up before the start. It’s a few days late but not to the fault of the company.

Lights are 24 hours for the first week then I’ll start to give them some night 20/4 for veg.

Well it’s just a waiting game for the next little bit trying to keep them warm humid and happy. Warm is easy. Humidity where I live is not. The reason for the film.

Thanks for reading.

Thanks,
You are correct, the only way to screw things up now is to be too hands on with the water. I’m using a spray only and misting to keep things humid.

Day 3. All 5 lady’s looking good. The Electric Sky 180 arrived and installed, dimmed down to 50%. Let’s see what this thing can do.

Welcome to RIU.

Start a worm bin. By far the best thing you can do when growing organic.

Kootenays hey. Me to neighbor.
Howdy neighbor!
Worm bin? I will look into that. I have compost and horses so lots of manure but I only use it for my garden. I’m afraid of it being too hot for potted plants and also getting bugs that might start breading indoors.

Day 5. So far meeting their expectations, doubling in size everyday. Cannabis sure are beautiful plants!

A little update at day 18 and first full watering of the 5gallon pots. I gave one of the girls away so now down to 4 plants. I gave it to an OG grower that hadn’t had his hand dirty in a while. Made an old guys day when I called to see if he wanted it. I figure at the rate these beauties are growing I’m going to need the room. And that scoring some gardening karma will go a long way.

Looking great!

They sure look pretty when they going up I’m doing mine lateral trying to squeeze a couple more colas they love the Molasses

Day 21
This plant has killer side branches that are growing up so strong. I’m having to do some tucking of the big fan leaves everyday to let these side branches get up with its main. The growth on these are incredible. white pistols are popping out in all corners. This strain is FAST! Hence fastbuds420!

The plan was to LST them but the growth is so even that I think I’m going to let them keep growing vertically. I have a scrog net that I might implement. when is a good time to start placing that if I so choose? Never done that before.

Next watering will be with Kootenay bio soils compost tea and great white shark to kick up the microbes then we will top dress with the Gaia Green on Week 4 to feed. The boogie brix is my sugar. Will start adding sugars at first sign of flower. So far the pre mix is doing great. All I’ve done is water. 4l or 1 gal every 5 days.

Hey @Tonycannavis, keep the insight coming if you’ve got more to share as we go. Advise is welcome.

A little update. Made it to day 34!

Here we go back a few updates to see the growth these beauties have gone through. Now in full flower.

One top dress of 1/4 cup Gaia grow and same of bloom week 4. Feel it could have been sooner as the plant is pretty pale and new growth almost yellow. Compost tea watering with great white once every two weeks. Following week with sugar blends. Water in between. No ph’ing

Day 33 brought a bit of change, I decided to implement a trellis and tie down all the tops. I have two plants way bigger and wanted to even things out best I could.

This is before....

Update time........
Two weeks into flower and things are still coming along nicely. A little tip burn but nothing more in the last week. Looks like the soil is full of groceries.

Fed compost tea followed by complex sugar watering followed by water only then repeat.
The smell is creeping in now with a sweet earthy tang.
Stretching has slowed to almost nothing in the last days. Buds are developing more and more everyday. This strain is a champ!5E68E539-3170-4C38-98FC-7C4578E80BB3.jpeg

I also want to say that the electric sky es180 is an absolute beast. Expensive as fck but it’s the best light I’ve used. I’ve got an hlg v2 in the tent as well. I notice the tops stretch toward the es180 even when directly under the hlg. Just wanted to note that.
