GU-10 Bulbs?

I can't recall seeing any GU-10 lights here. We use them in reef tanks, simple, fast and cheap. There any particular reason they're not being used for indoor lighting? Here's a link to the thread that pretty much started it all for reef keepers.

They could work. I've thought about building a panel surrounding one of Soraa's MR16 bulbs (GU5.3). Some people have been getting into the LED bulbs and floods. Similar approach.

Some of the ebay GU10 builders will custom blend your emitter colors for the same price.

That's pretty sick. How many LED's per bulb?

Some are running 5x3w emitters but general consensus in reef tanks is the 3x3w don't have the heating problems and seem to have fewer QC problems. Cooling probably isn't an issue for indoor growers running the bigger fans. Reef keepers generally won't use anything larger than a couple of PC cooling fans.

Edited to add: Some of the Chinese sellers are literally mom and pop operations where they build the bulbs in their house. If you order them make sure you check on the link above to see the latest seller people are using because quality builders seem to change from time to time.
