Guerilla Warfare - Part 3 - Mexican Sativa, Haze Special, Attitude B-day Fem Freebies

This is the third separate grow I'm attempting this spring/summer.

With the first two grows, my focus was an early-summer harvest, with some plants selectively pollinated for seeds.

While I'll be looking at different breeding ideas with this third grow, harvest won't be until October.

This is fine, as most all of these strains are either pure Sativas, or have a 50/50 Sativa mix somewhere in their genetic line, and could use a full-summer/fall to fulfill their potential (sweet flowers, heavier trichomes, great taste).

The one exception is the DarkStar, which is a heavy Indica.

Here is a complete seed list:

1.) Haze Special (KC Brains) 10 regular seeds
2.) Mexican Sativa (Sensi Seeds) 10 regular seeds
3.) Dark Star (THSeeds) 2 regular seeds
4.) Heavy Duty Fruity (THSeeds) 2 regular seeds
5.) Burmese Kush (THSeeds) 1 feminized seed
6.) Kushage (THSeeds) 1 feminized seed
7.) S.A.G.E. (THSeeds) 1 feminized seed
8.) White Widow (Dinafem Seeds) 1 feminized seed
9.) Diesel (Dinafem Seeds) 1 feminized seed
10.) Sour AK (G13 Labs) 1 feminized seed

So far:

-10 out of 10 Mexican Sativa have germinated and popped up out of the ground
- 5 out of 10 Haze Special have germinated, and only 2 out those 5 have popped up
out of the ground
- 2 out of 2 DarkStar have germinated and popped up out of the ground
- 1 out of 2 Heavy Duty Fruity have germinated and popped up out of the ground
- ALL of the feminized seeds have germinated and popped up out of the ground
except the Diesel by Dinafem Seeds

I know there's not much progress (it's only been a few days), but I wanted to throw up some pics just to show what's what:

Mexican Sativa & Haze Special

(The unlabeled milk jug was a Diesel from Dinafem Seeds that germinated, but didn't pop up)

This is all a process, a process I wanted to document by showing the humble beginnings of these new seedlings (before they grow into giant Sativa trees).

Look's good, pot's would have cost less than those soda bottles and tape you used. Also you shouldn't use one pot for 2 plant's, the root's can get tangled and that makes it hard to transplant. Nice strain's but yeah I would transplant them into separate pots.

Haha, well actually, the tape and soda bottles didn't cost me anything, whereas pots would have. ;-)

I'm very well aware of the fact that two plants in one container isn't a good plan for success, which is why it's only a temporary grow place.

I'll very likely transplant some of them into 5-gallon buckets next week.

I'm no rookie, but I appreciate the advice...I'm sure it'll help someone else.

Well all 10 of the Mexican Sativa by Sensi Seeds are up and looking healthy. All have at least one set of true leaves, many with at least 2 sets.

One Haze Special pooped out on me, so I now have 3 healthy and vibrant Haze Specials, 2 in 5-gallon buckets (one waiting for a transplant).

The two DarkStar (that are sharing a 1-gallon milk jug) are amazingly healthy looking and growing fast, despite what the breeder description says about them.
I'll be transplanting the DarkStar into 5-gallon buckets next time I go out there.

The Heavy Duty Fruity, White Widow, Kushage, Burmese Kush, and S.A.G.E. are all up and showing 1-2 sets of true leaves.

As most of the country experienced recently, we also experienced terrible winds and driving rains the last few weeks. I haven't lost a single seedling because of it though; they've all withstood several 50mph-wind days, one day of baseball-size hail.....

.....and soaking rains. So you could say I'm a proud parent....haha. :weed:

Here are the Mexican Sativa, along with some Kushage and Haze Special (I forgot to get pics of the two Haze Specials in their buckets, but there's not much to see anyway):

Here are the Others:

Here's a simple little video kinda detailing a bit more about the plants, plus some video of the two Haze Specials I have growing in 5-gallon buckets:

Transplanted the following into 5-gallon buckets:

- (1) Kushage fem
- (1) Burmese Kush fem
- (1) S.A.G.E. fem
- (1) White Widow fem
- (1) Sour AK fem
- (1) Heavy Duty Fruity regular
- (2) DarkStar regular

The Sour AK was dropping quite a bit after the transplant, and the Kusage root is only 1 inch long, but besides that, everything went pretty smooth.

Really wanted to get the fem seedlings into a bigger container, because I eventually want to clone the hell out of all of them, and the sooner the better. If clones taken from these fems have 3-4 months of veg time, they'll be pretty huge come harvest.

Also had to fix the DarkStar situation. I had (2) DarkStar sharing (1) 1-gallon bucket, which would have eventually stunted both of them if I didn't transplant them.

The DarkStar are still the most vigorous in their growth among all of these seedlings. They'll also be my only chance to get a male Indica for this upcoming summer/fall season, and I'd like to breed the DarkStar with the Kushage and Burmese Kush at least. That would be one dank, heavy Indica hybrid.

All 10 of the Mexican Sativa are up and healthy. They're still in their soda bottles and milk jugs.

I only have (3) Haze Special that have come up from their germinated seed, so I'm really disappointed with those results. Two of those seedlings are now in 5-gallon buckets.

I didn't germinate the Haze Special any different than any of the other seeds, but for whatever reason, I only had 5 of 10 seeds that germinated, and of those, only 3 that popped up out of the ground.

As long as I can get (1) male and (1) female out of the (3) Haze Special seedlings, I'll be happy.

Is the mexican sativa bag seed or did you buy it? I want some good pure mexican sativa too! I should just try and find a sack of mexi brick weed to buy and get seeds from that!

Check out the 3rd picture down, on the first post of this thread. ;-)

It's much different than Mexican brick weed in that it's a Mexican Oaxacan Sativa X Pakistani Hash Plant X South African Durban Sativa, and then back-crossed with the Oaxacan again...so it's a real heavy-duty Sativa, with 3 continents of flavor.

Well everything looks alive and well.

The transplants all survived, even the Kushage that was 1-inch tall, root included. I really didn't give the Kushage much chance to survive the transplant, but it's alive and looks close to forming its first set of true leaves.

Between the Kushage and Burmese Kush, I'll have two of the hardest hitting OG Kush crosses out there.

I intend to clone the hell out of all the fems, but especially the above two.

The Mexican Sativa all look great. Of the 10, I have 8 exceptionally strong and vigorous-looking plants, with the 9th and 10th ones a little smaller, but still healthy.

I didn't get any still frame pictures of the Mexican Sativa, but I did include a video here that gives you a nice idea of what they look like.

The video is 13 minutes long, and covers all the projects I'm currently working on, so you'll have to skip around to see the strains relevant to this thread.

Here are some pics:

Didn't get all the pics I wanted (camera died), but I did get a few just showing some seedling development.

All 10 of the Mexican Sativa (by Sensi SeedBank) look healthy as hell. I've never had so much uniform success with a 10-pack of seeds. 8 of the 10 look the same, with great size and looking ripe with potential. :eyesmoke:

I have one really exceptional Haze Special (by KC Brains Seeds), and two much smaller seedlings still fighting and finding their way. Of the two smaller Haze Special, one is making great progress after a slow start. This Haze Special, and the larger one are both in 5-gallon buckets, while the third and smallest is in a 1-gallon milk jug still.

In all, I have 11 seedlings (10 Mexican Sativa, 1 Haze Special) in milk jugs/soda bottles still. They're still waiting for a bucket with good soil to transplant into. I'll be transplanting these milk jug/soda bottle seedlings in a few weeks, after I harvest some Auto strains that are using the buckets now.

Nothing like recycling!

I'll be sure to rotate, loosen up, and recondition the soil before I transplant them. ;-)

Of the transplants already in 5-gallon buckets, they're all still alive and well!

We've had horrible weather this April...the worst year in recorded history for Tornadoes and violent storms....yet every-single one of my seedlings have survived it.

Just amazed that every time I go out to the patch (expecting massive damage after a storm), all the seedlings remain standing, like nothing ever happened.

That's what I call plant vigor...haha.

I'd say of the seedlings already in 5-gallon buckets, the most vigorous/tallest growing are:

-the 2 DarkStar Regular Strains
-the 1 Heavy Duty Fruity Regular Strain
-the 1 Haze Special Regular
-the 1 S.A.G.E. Feminized Strain

Hey thanks for taking a look.

Yeah, I've heard some mixed reviews about Burmese Kush too. I just find it hard to believe an OG Kush cross could possibly be that horrible, so I'm gonna go into it with a positive perspective and hope for the best.

I can definitely see a DarkStar x Mexican Sativa cross possibility. I'll probably be crossing that DarkStar (assuming I get at least one male) with pretty much every fem clone I can.

DarkStar will be my only Indica dom male for this summer/fall season. Everything else I've got going is either a Sativa dominant strain, or a 50/50 Indica/Sativa hybrid.

Of course, I do have some seeds that are currently developing on some Querkle and Blueberry, which are both Indica dominant. They should be ready to be picked in a couple weeks, then they have to age for a few more weeks before planting (to better guarantee germination).

a male ms will work on the dankstar female . but a deff on the quirk blue cross anything with the quirkle in it has got 2 b good .

Well the Querkle is a single strain I'm breeding, as is the Auto Blueberry a separate strain I'm breeding.

Yeah I like working with male plants for breeding which show their sex early, as it will suit my future purposes nicely.

So to get this early-flowering trait of DarkStar to be passed on to a hybrid-cross in the future, you need to breed with the male DarkStar, as opposed to a male Mexican Sativa.

Males generally pass on the early-flowering phenotype in the resulting progeny.

The Querkle and Auto Blueberry are both really fruity smelling strains, and they've only been flowering for the last 3 weeks.

The Querkle is developing some really beautiful dusty-looking colas.

A few dried out Querkle nugs proved that they smell really fruity...like rotten fruit; Subcool was right about that too.

First thing i want to point out there Dr. Yo , if you call your seedlings him and he all the time your not really pointing them in the right direction ;) Hahah just yanking your chain but i wanted to comment on the way your doing that quickly i understand you like growing in pots for mobility if the area is compromised you can move them etc. But for educational purposes only lets say i have had some experience in gorilla warfare myself and think of it from the prospective of the men who are paid to find your crops, are they looking for plants that are growing naturally amoung other plants or are they looking for clearings with plants in buckets all in a row obviously not natural or hidden well from the sky.... you tell me.

Word of advice ;)

Appreciate your input and time brother, but your worries are unfounded.

Without compromising my location, I'll just say that fly-overs from pigs are unlikely. This location was selected primarily because of this unlikely possibility happening.

The plants actually blend in quite nicely with the surrounding vegetation (which is just starting to REALLY develop in the area. I can barely see the plot just walking up to it...haha).

Also, I've grown at this location for a couple years with no problem.

So I guess I told you. ;-)

Not sure if you cared to noticed the conversation I was having above, but I actually want at least one male DarkStar to breed with.
