Guerrilla Grow rain protection sheeting

Howdy, Ive grown outdoors for the last 3 years and have never come out with anything decent due to mold, my spot is situated in the middle of a large patch of thorny heather in the middle of the woods and therefore don't want to use a polythene sheeting as it'll reflect and stick out like a sore thumb from above. I did try dying some white "plant protection fleece blanket" green but it wouldn't absorb the dye due to it being a synthetic material has anyone any idea where i could get a light green version of this sheeting or does anyone have any other ideas. Can't seem to find anything suitable anywhere :/..they're so big and healthy and beginning to bud quite nicely it would be horrible to see them consumed by the dredded botrytis again! Cheers, Tom.

preventive spraying for mold, shake plants out after a rain, and prune the plant so there is good airflow. Stake and tie the limbs apart so there is like 6" space between each branch.

its a drive then 15 min walk up into the hills/it rains like everyday here at the moment so shaking them wouldn't be realistic really, and yar ive alraedy had a good tie and prune but did all this last year and still had tonnes of mold :( have you used a preventative spray that definately works Beast?

I couldn't say for certain. I'm still fairly new to growing and this is my first outdoor grow.. had some mold on one of my plants... I just plucked the mold out and then sprayed the area with water/hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle... then 10 minutes later I spray 3 in 1 fungicide-insecticide-miticide (says safe to use with vegetables). I am using the 3 in 1 as a preventative for my other plant that has no mold... i'll let you know how it turns out.

cool, have heard about a couple of brands that are supposed to be good, might bob down to the garden centre for some advice on my "grapes"lol

A ton
of mold is coming from their surroundings, you need to care for them too to make sure airflow, and sunlight are sufficient and other moldy plants around need to be dealt with too.

Yes I second what off ball says you can't keep a plant healthy if everything around it isn't. Burn the mold being carful not to spread the spores. I would lightly must the area with water or something to keep the mold down while you burn it.

There is an orange mold that grows on the surrounding heather. I don't know if the botrytis could be caused by several mold strains? Or would you know if the mold is plant strain specific?

I have no idea, but they should keep the rain off.......good luck....
The camo sheeting is a great idea although Itll definately need to transmit light, i really could do with finding some that is permeable to light, i'll get pics up of the grow on monday if you lot are interested to see :)
