Guide/Mark The Final Of Flowering?

Hello to everyone, I was wondering when you should start counting the weeks of the flowering phase and basically there are two ways to do it, from the change 12/12 or from when you see the first flowers development (not pre-flowers!) so i readed a lot and really cant find any conclusive answer, so I sent an email to the breeders of my seeds (EVA Seeds and Humboldt seeds) Both of them told me that i should start counting from the change 12/12, i recently had harvest 2 of eva seeds strains so i reply to them telling that the times that appear in the web are wrong cause counting from 12/12 my plants took more time finishing, and they answer me telling me that a lot of growers dont know this, but you should "mark"/"guide" the final of flowering, trying of low the temps, lowering the lummens or quantity of light input and stopping the nutes, and if i do so the plants will be ready as the web states... i never readed something like this, so my question is anyone have hear/read about this? could be true?

Thank you.

Hi @shtuyos,

when my buddy at the shop receive complaints about wrong flowering times, he puts his nicest smile on his face and always answers :

this is meant when growing in perfect conditions :)

so basically you start counting at 12/12 and add (at least) 2 weeks ! I harvest 8 weeks strains at week 10-12 :)
