how many times a week should i water my baby is everyday to much?

Only water when it is needed. There is no single answer to this other than when they need it. There are several ways. Moisture meter, weight test, finger test. But my personal favorite is just watching the leaves and when they start to show signs of drooping is when I water.

i water every 3 days- Im using about a gallon of water to five small plant holders and alot of that drains down the sink.

But RKM is right- it depends on the specific environment of your plants.. every situation is different. (Varying Humidity, Light, Wind, In/Outdoor, amount of water you use)

everyday is probably too much.
