im curious as to whether we will be able to get a card for ailments other than the ones mentioned in the current bill. must you have one of those ailments listed specifically or can you be qualified for a card if you have ailments LIKE those such as severe nausea, ptsd, chronic pain? hmmm

the bill say's that you can have a card with the mentioned examples like Hiv, Aid's and cancer as well as all the other obvious ones like those! In addition it also said you can have one with a written recommendation from a doctor you've have a bonifide relationship with! which means stuff like ptsd and 3,000 other therapeutic uses ganja has! good ganja that is A.K.A MEDICINE!!!

What conditions must patients have to qualify? Question 3 allows doctors to recommend medical marijuana for the following medical conditions: “Cancer, glaucoma, positive status for human immunodeficiency virus, acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS), hepatitis C, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Crohn’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis and other conditions as determined in writing by a qualifying patient’s physician.”

you wont see anything clearer than that until march or april of next year when they finally lay out all the final regulations for card applications and growing!

I belive this is the part we r all wondering about mostly! I am interested mostly in the last sentence!

How can a patient qualify to legally grow marijuana
?
Question 3 includes the following “hardship” provision: “The Department shall issue a cultivation registration to a qualifying patient whose access to a medical treatment center is limited by verified financial hardship, a physical incapacity to access reasonable transportation, or the lack of a treatment center within a reasonable distance of the patient’s residence … Such registration shall allow the patient or the patient’s personal caregiver to cultivate a limited number of plants, sufficient to maintain a 60-day supply of marijuana, and shall require cultivation and storage only in an enclosed, locked facility.”

Additionally, Question 3 allows qualifying patients with written recommendations to begin cultivating medical marijuana January 1, 2013: “Until the department issues such final regulations, the written recommendation of a qualifying patient’s physician shall constitute a limited cultivation registration.”

I wish there was more info out there somewhere. I was thinking about making a trip to the department of public health to see if I could get any questions answered. I know it's early and they are probably being bombarded by calls and what not but I would be totally interested in opening a care center. I've seen how herb has helped people that were suffering from cancer and there would be no greater thing I can think of then to help. I would however be carefull just because the law has passed it doesn't give us the green light to start a forest if you know what I mean.

I second that for sure, my mother in law has breast cancer and does kemo. the weed really helps her in so many ways! On top of that my wife has degenerative arthritis in her lower back, her stomach hates muscle relaxers so she smokes.

I hope the VA doesn't drug test him and screw him out of his benefits. I read on Toke of the Town that some VA patients were told that they would lose benefits if they tested positive. Total bullshit if you ask me.

Well we will see is all i can say! He goes to the va very often for check up's and to talk to his syck doctor! His va record is very long and very exstensive! He deff earned his rights to his benefits holding two silver star's and a purple heart! With his lengthy list of ailment's and history with the va i'm sure if anyone can pull it off it's him so stay tuned for updates!

Rumor has it that you guys down south(Mass)are going to have to go through a lot of bull in order to cultivate...I heard that they would like to make it dispensary available only, no growing your own. That would really be some bullshit but you can certainly see the "BB/Gov." trying some shit like that so they can squeeze every last dollar out of it.Luck to you guys.

This is exciting but don't jump the gun.

It will be a good 6 months to maybe even a year before the laws are ironed out, committees formed, dispensary licenses auctioned/sold, MMJ card licensers, etc.
