Hairs turning color on week 5

My plant has had a serious calcium deficiency and I have been giving it lime trying to correct the problem. stems are starting to turn red and it's not looking good. It is 5 weeks two days into flowering and a lot of hairs are starting to change color. So I am wondering is it normal for this to happen at this stage or is all of this signs of my plant dying. And if it is dying will the plant try to mature quicker to reproduce or do you think the buds will be crap.

do you have any pictures? with the hairs turning color, that doesnt sound like it would be dying but maturing. how are the leaves looking? how is the plant all together looking? droopy?

5 weeks into flowering is about right for pistils to turn reddish. It means the plant is going to the next stage i belive. Its when buds start to look like buds in my experience.

It doesnt look droopy but majority of the leaves have brown circles on them and the lowest set leaves have turned yellow. And I believe it is mainly sativa, and that is why I am worried because I heard sativas take longer. But I'm a noob so I guess I just have to watch it.

Hey Potfelder420, if your plant is five weeks into flowering then its supposed to have color change resulting in the ending of its life cycle. Although I have a strain of my own that will fool you; meaning during first initial flowering the pistils are white, but towards the fifth week the pistils(hairs) turn a Magenta color. So the point of it all is that all forms of marijuana are strain dependent. So it's all in the genetics. Best way to know if your plants buds are ready.. just use a pocket scope and check on the Trichomes.
