I celebrated 4-20 day by having two of my Afgan Ryder Kush poke through the soil. Then to celebrate that I had two bowls of trainwreck.

You know your an original true pot head when
you remember the original true number was 13 before it was 420.
As early teens, you and friends used to draw that pot leaf with the stem being
the number 1 and draw that 3 next to it on school books etc.... Then u might have
got that 13 tattooed on you somewhere.
I guess the moniker 420 came out of san rafeal high in Cali back in '72? Well
13 was the ONLY term for pot and getting stoned used by the teen heads in Los Angeles and the SFV
in '76 and just beyond. Why 13 never stuck and 420 came to be a couple of decades
after the term was first used I'll never know but maybe it is because their is no 13 on a clock
and no month date used to add 13 too on the calender so 420 is just more convenient then
13.

Some of my old hippie buddies told me all about that, and one even has it tattooed on his forearm from like 1975, or some shit! Lol... I guess I came up in the "era" just before 420, or at least it was a few years after I first started getting stoned before I started hearing or using 420 in slang, or anything else...

Very interesting! I knew I wasn't the only one here on the board
that knows that 13 became popularized long before 420 but faded
out for some reason or another.
One thing I do know is my birth certificate reads I was
born 4.20 am. I guess pot has been my calling from the
minute I was born! At least I would like to believe it is.
