Harvest/Drying question

Is it better to crop and trim all the leaves and buds before hanging it up to dry or trim after buds are dry?

When drying and hanging buds off a string, should I have a fan blowing or open the window to the room? Or do both?

I do a quick wet trim removing all the fan leaves then hang it to dry and do a final dry trim.. I use a fan to keep the air moving but not aimed at the buds.. an open window will help with air exchange but may cause problems with humidity..

its better to leave sugar leaves till its dry, but its kind of a pain in the ass. i don't like to have a fan directly on them, but keep air moving in the room. what works for me is to wait till i think the smaller buds are too dry, really crunchy on the outside, then jar, by morning they aren't crunchy anymore. then start burpin

I just dry-trimmed first time ever and I like it. Easier to manicure the buds when dry since they'll retain that form but harder to trim since the leaves curl into the buds but that wasn't much of a problem. Scissors are still going to get sticky as hell.

I did it mainly so the buds can dry a bit slower. Best part of dry trimming is your trim is DRY. I rolled a fat joint just with some ground up trim, a few popcorn buds and scissor hash. Wasn't too bad.
