Hey guys am a first time grower and am at that moment where I just cant tell if I should harvest or wait. Looking for the THC high at its peak. Please help.

I would prbly let it go for another 2 weeks, but you should check the trichomes with a loop or magnifier. It is still shooting out new pistils, but if you don't like a full stone, you may not want any amber trichs or something. I imagine it depends most on strain/genetics anyways...

Yeah am having issues w the tricomes cuz no microscope and the magnifying glass i have sucks. I was even thinking of harvesting today. Thing is I read for highest THC 50-70% pistils darkened and thats what I c now. Your thoughts?

Well you've been with it its whole life, if you can't wait any longer I bet it will be great smoke at this point. If it was me I would wait 2 more weeks from the images though,

You have plenty of time to get a loupe ordered from amazon. Don't go on pistil colour, go on their recession and then check the trichs with the loupe.

Looks very well fed, my plants are usually barely green by the end of it...I try to starve them the last week or so,

Harvesting at peak THC might not be the best tasting weed. Tirpens peak just before the tric's turn amber. You will always have a mix of clear/cloudy and amber tric's. Most agree the 30% amber rule will get you close. Pistol explosions can also factor into a good harvest time. If you wait too long you start to lose the pine/fruity flavors. You will be left with a dense smoke and a couch lock affect. Each strain is different too. Some strains turn cloudy and never really see much amber. If you dont have a loop look at the hairs and harvest when they start to die off on the cola. The 70% rule will get you a smokible weed but maybe not the highest THC content. Buy a loop on amazon. They are cheap.

Hi, tks a lot for your detailed explanation. From what you say I am still green. Will give it a week and daily checks to see how it evolves and take it from there. The seeds were some polinated weed my friend had so we dont even know the strain so am kinda winging it.
