Harvest or not?

I looked at the pics in that post that told me when to harvest and think maybe I should harvest, but I would very much like another opinion.

in the first two pix the leaves look very droopy. They looks like my plants did when they had powdery white mildew. Wich I am currently battling as we speak. Bust that same microscope out and look at your leaves....if there are beads of white that dont look like Trichomes you might want to invest in some organic fungus/mold kiler.

its probably not ready yet. i think the pistils are supposed to retract more and the buds swell more before they are ready.

im 1st time grower. my plants still in veg but when i harvest wht do ya suggest waitin till 20% amber??? more or less??

Theres been a study of sorts released through one of the cannabis magazines, from one of the doctors whose allowed to grow and study marijuana. According to the scientific data the THC is at its most potent and highest presence when the trichs show the first signs of cloudy. However, in my personal garden, and what I like to harvest, I like to wait as long as possible. I like my plants to hit me with a heavy couchlock stone, so I usually wait until it slows down with production of the white hairs.
It will always have white hairs, but eventually it starts to look like mostly amber hairs with the new tufts of white hairs poking out places.
Others go by something called "foxtailing", its basically when the top of your plant starts competing with itself for the highest point. (You can see some foxtailing in the picture.) The worst effect I've had from waiting too long was I lost one bud top to bud rot, but that I blame myself for, I should have harvested it about 4 days earlier than when I did finally get to it.

I can attest that waiting until the "foxtailing" (didn't know that was the name for it) makes for an extremely good stone if you're used to cutting a little earlier than that. I never waited as long as I did for this past plant that I had, but once I saw the foxtailing I knew it was about time, so I cut it down and man I am impressed :)

So that's what that's called. I have a sour d that I'm harvesting today that looks just like that

thank u.. but doesnt in depend on strain too? like if its suppose to make u happy and laugh why would u wait for tht?? it will make u couchlock instead??

amber trichomes mean the THC has degraded into CBN some ppl like to wait for some amber trichs because they like the heavy body high, i like a good head high but i also want it to help me sleep, so id wait till sumthin around 10% amber if u want an upright fun laughing high harvest when there cloudy, harvest time is more of a preference thing, although u should never harvest when there clear

This is my first grow, so all I know is what i've read from books. The trichomes on the leaves will be amber or the pistils (or both)?

looking at the curled burnt leaves it is not surprise it is starting to herm. I think he should be ok though as it has 1 or 2 weeks more to go and you wont get very much seed development. Same thing happened to me and I found 40 seeds in 3/4 lb.

yessir...foxtailing is where its at...i always pull at the start of foxtailing...i dont use a scope, and i am a soil grower...everyone that smokes it says that 2-3 hits and you dont really need anymore...and that includes my bagseed grows i throw in there.
