So I have a couple thunderbud (holy smokes) plants two days shy of 7 weeks flower, its advertised as a 9 week strain says "63 days" approximate, I'm only on day 47! and it has 40% amber and 60% cloudy trichs.....My question is how the hell is this possible??

Yeah you really need to really on your scope when it comes to harvesting. I would swing the axe.

Check on some lower buds too since it's not all that uncommon for the tops to mature more quickly. I have seen people talk about harvesting upper portions and letting the remaining plant continue to flower with good results, but I've never done it quite like that personally. Might check it out depending on how things look on the rest of your girls ;)

That nice sativa strain looks ready to me.

You can't put a lot of faith in the seed grower's descriptions. Those descriptions are basically commercials that attempt to appeal to
as many different growers as possible. I've found that the predicted "finishing times" can be waaaay off. I've got one auto going now
that vegged for 4 weeks, flowered for 3 1/2 weeks and looks ready to go. Manufacturer says another 2 weeks to finish. Wrong.

The white pistils turn color the same time the trichomes mature from clear to milky to colored. Most agree that dark tri's are one of the
best indicators of potency. I harvest when most are milky and some tris have turned amber. Works for me.

Good luck, BigSteve.
