Harvest Time.

Is there a particular time in the light cycle (beginning of 12 hour cycle or at end) or dark that plants should be taken down? Also have had conflicting advice on trich development. Some say 70% cloudy to as little as 20% by others. I have always gone 70 but just saw some at 20 that were awesome. I have always flushed for 7 days but have been advised to go 10 or 12. I have also noticed a great deal of oils on the buds but am only at 44 days. In the past I have gone 56 (depending on trichs) but the buds don't seem to be as oily with buds being harder and drier at 56 days.Is this normal or am I harvesting to late. Thanks in advance

ive read that the best time to harvest is when ur lights just shut off after 12 on cause the plant ups its thc to help protect it from insects me i just harvest when i feel like it

I personally do it just before lights come on. When THC is at its highest and preparing to protect itself from the sun. Doesn't happen instantly soon as the lights shut off. But I also give 32 hours darkness before harvest. I find makes things frostier. Just my opinion. Some people do it. Some Don't. Its supposed to make the plant stress and final push out everything its got.

i do the total opposite, haha. i harvest just after what would be lights on, i heard(here we go) thats when thc levels highest as a protection from the sun not insects.. just my opinion and practice.....

im not really sure but my understanding is that the plant asorbs light for there leafs and the trichomes trap the light to create thc and the only purpose of a trichome is to protect its seeds do i know this to b the truth NO i dont just something i read
ps im not a botonist i just love to grow DANK

maybe u should read about the trichome so u can fully understand them But yes it traps it in its fibris matt between the stalk and the head of the trichome thats what makes it mature or turn to amber ignorance is ok aslong as you try to correct it

does not allow it to excape the trichome is like a little ass mirror the light eneters the trich and bounces around off the trich walls until absorbed in the fibris matt and then mother nature does her job if ur intersted were i got my info cannabisculture .ca and about 8 yrs of reading all kinds of magz and books

Wow ok. So basic photosynthesis doesn't count then... where the leaves actually trap/catch/whatever else wanna call it? Becuase its MJ plant its different? I wonder why the tomato plant still grows with no Tric's.... O well I only have a Masters Degree in Science, no matter.
