Harvesting and Curing specifically for edibles

I'm currently working on my first grow, and still taking in lots of info. One thing I was wondering is if there was any different procedure if the only thing I was planning on doing with my harvest was turning them into edibles? I don't smoke and I'm not looking to start so I'm just curious if there's steps I can skip or what exactly might be different if anything?

Yeah you can leave the sugar leaves on the buds and curing isn't necessarily important either. The biggest pain in growing is trimming, so you have a handy shortcut to your end product.

I dry sift for hash then make capsules for consumption out of what's left.

So what's the difference between home made edibles that make you hallucinate, and store bought mersh edibles that feel like you just smoked a bowl of mids?

Could just be that rec edibles are usually in 10mg doses, homemade is whatever you put in it. I know my own edibles blast me a good one over a 10mg dose from the dispensary.
