Harvesting.

I have a plant that will be ready to harvest in the next 2 weeks or so. I was just wondering do pot plants produce more buds after you harvest? another words, can I continuously harvest from the same plant over and over again or does it bud once and then not again? Also I really like this plant and have heard a lot of people talk about cloning plants. What does that intail? How does the cloning process work and can I produce clones of this plant over and over again so I ensure getting a consistent product with every harvest? Thanks ahead of time for your help folks.
