Done it many times, works fine, takes longer.

The problem is its flowering and the plant is hormonally focused on budding out...root growth has all but stopped. If you take good clones and set them up (make sure and have enough leaves so they have nutes to eat to grow the roots) it will take roughly twice as long to root them as they have to essentially be re vegged. In about 2 months in soil my budded bottom plant clones have turned into thick 12in plants that look like they were grown from seed.

yeah i always do it as i just dont have the room ,to clone veg and flower ,in seperate areas ,so i leave the cloning as late as i can ,and as it takes longer ,i can usually have my clones ready as my others are ready to pull ,or at least fairly close ,so i can leave them in my clone box for a while if i have to.
